About us

Evans Employment Law Limited is a regulated solicitors' firm providing:

  • specialist advice to businesses on employment law and regulation
  • support to individuals facing problems in the work place
  • mediation services for employment, commercial and other disputes

Darryl Evans established the firm in 2011. He has specialised in employment law for over 25 years, first at City law firm Slaughter and May and then at PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal LLP where he was a partner for over 12 years and led its international employment law network.

Darryl's employment law experience is extensive, ranging from contract and policy drafting through compliance advice, executive level severance and Employment Tribunal litigation to a broad range of corporate transactions, both UK and multi-territory.

He has worked across a wide variety of business sectors, including financial services, telecoms, consumer products, pharmaceutical and professional services.

Charles Newman has worked as a consultant with the firm since 2017. He has specialised in employment law also for more than 25 years, first at Slaughter and May and subsequently at DAC Beachcroft LLP where he was a Partner in the Employment Group for 10 years.

Charles has considerable experience in all aspects of employment law, from contract and settlement agreement drafting to TUPE, discrimination, whistleblowing and Employment Tribunal advocacy.

As well as advising employers in a variety of business sectors, he regularly advises executives on severance agreements and conducts investigations into disciplinary and grievance matters.

By engaging us, you gain direct access to that experience:

  • without paying City/large law firm rates
  • without finding that the advice you are receiving is actually coming from inexperienced junior lawyers

We put client service first by:

  • always being available and in close contact by phone and email
  • meeting face to face whenever possible – we believe this is the most efficient way to advise and it also allows a trusting personal relationship to develop, which we regard as very important
  • listening to our clients to make sure we focus on their business and personal needs
  • working as a team with our clients, not as remote advisers
  • understanding time constraints and deadlines and respecting them
  • concentrating on how we can add value
  • being totally transparent on fee arrangements – ‘no surprises’ is our golden rule
